New South Wales, Australia-based University of Wollongong (UOW) has announced a survey of HVAC contractors to help the Australian government understand the needs of the sector.
The “HVAC Repair and Maintenance in Commercial Office Buildings: Better Ways to Work” survey runs until September 30 and can be found here.
It consists of five short sections and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Those that complete the survey will be entered into a random draw, where they can win one of 40 gift vouchers worth AU$100 (US$72.77).
This survey is part of a research project led by a UOW research team on behalf of the Australian government’s Commonwealth Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources (DISER) department.
The survey targets facilities managers and general HVAC technicians, and focuses on “older, smaller and poorer quality commercial office buildings,” according to the university website.
By gathering feedback from HVAC technicians in the field, the government will be better able to improve policy.
“Your personal experience on the ground and in the plantroom is vital to inform future policy, programs and improvements to the HVAC&R industry,” according to a press release from the Australian Institute of Refrigeration,Air Conditioning and Heating.
