China Refrigeration 2020, a major Chinese HVAC&R trade show, has officially been rescheduled to take place August 19-21 at the Chongqing International Expo Center in Chongqing, China, according to an April 30 post at the trade show’s website.
China Refrigeration, which last year featured a number of natural refrigerant technologies, was originally planned for April 8-10, 2020, at the Wuhan International Expo Center in Wuhan, China – the city where the global COVID-19 pandemic began.
On February 2, the event’s organizing committee wrote on the China Refrigeration website that the event would be postponed “in order to fully assist the prevention and control of the epidemic, effectively cut off the transmission route of the virus, resolutely curb the spread of the epidemic, and ensure the safety and health of exhibitors and visitors.”
On April 30, the organizing committee said that it finalized the new dates and location after “closely following the development of the epidemic at home and abroad and consulting with exhibitors and visitors.” The committee stressed that it will implement the country’s epidemic prevention and control policies “in earnest…and work closely with exhibitors and relevant organizations, so as to deliver the industry a safe, successful and productive event at the special moment of the global fight against the pandemic.”
