U.K. contractor Greencold has moved to new and larger premises in Wellingborough, in Northamptonshire, U.K., in order to accommodate further development of CO2 systems with more office and workshop space.
“While we have historically been specifying ammonia refrigerant for our industrial customers, we have also more recently been developing systems using CO2 and with the experience and success achieved so far we feel these new premises provide us with a great base to build from,” said Greencold’s Director of Operations Vanessa Smith.
“We had hoped to have an open day to celebrate the move with suppliers and customers, but due to the continued ongoing COVID-19 restrictions we have had to cancel that,” Smith added.
She also announced that sister company QuickFreeze Ltd is an authorized U.K. distributor of CO2 products from Spanish manufacturer TECNAC.
Greencold is a privately owned company specializing in design, supply and installation of bespoke industrial and commercial refrigeration systems. The company uses both ammonia and CO2 in its systems, though “Greencold is proud to say that [CO2] is our preferred refrigerant of choice,” said Simon Andrew, Director of Greencold.
