Cooling-as-a-Service Global E-Summit Scheduled for Dec. 1

A free Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS) Global E-Summit, which will discuss all aspects of this pay-for-service business model, will take place online on December 1, from 8:30am to 7:00 CET.

Hosted by the Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy (BASE), the inaugural CaaS E-Summit will highlight how the CaaS servitization model works. Several case studies from multiple regions and sectors will be presented to show how CaaS has been practically implemented around the world. The event will also include various technical sessions on contractual arrangements, pricing models, financial structures, and more.

The E-Summit is designed for business and building managers, other end users of cooling equipment, financial institutions and investment funds, cooling equipment manufactures and contractors, energy service companies, and experts from various disciplines interested in the CaaS model.

The program and speakers will be announced soon.

BASE, based in Switzerland, is the leader of the Cooling as a Service Initiative along with the Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program (K-CEP). The initiative aims to decrease energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from cooling by promoting a pay-per-service model – as opposed to conventional up-front payment – to finance efficient cooling systems.
